GREENSBORO, N.C. -- She's one of the biggest names on the ice, and Thursday Olympian Meryl Davis stopped by FanFest.
Davis competed in Greensboro in 2011, where she won a gold medal. She's won the championships 6 times during her career. However, she's not taking to the ice this year. She said she's excited to be here and support the skaters in a different way.
Davis and her partner Charlie White won the gold medal during the Sochi Olympics in 2014. She told WFMY News 2's Julie Luck that it was an honor to stand on the podium to receive her medal. She said she and White trained so hard for so many years to get to reach that accomplishment.
