If you're a figure skating fan, one of the best deals will be happening at 6 p.m. Saturday at Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield

I've attended a bunch of Detroit SC exhibitions over the years because they offer a great opportunity to review many of the programs that skaters and teams will compete at during their respective national championships. If I weren't covering next weekend's U.S. Olympic marathon trials in Houston, I would be going for sure.Hills. It's the club's annual Champions Ice Revue, an exhibition featuring many of the elite skaters who train or represent the club.

This year's lineup is the best yet. It's headlined by world ice dance champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who train at the Arctic FSC but also represent the Detroit SC. They just won the ISU Grand Prix title.

They'll be joined by the following skaters who also competed on the circuit this season: singles skaters Alissa Czisny, Jeremy Abbott, Adam Rippon, Tomas Verner (Czech Republic), Valentina Marchei (Italy), Haruka Imai (Japan), Elladj Balde (Canada); and ice dancers Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat (France), and Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje (Canada).

Also performing will be skaters and teams who weren't on the Grand Prix circuit but have qualified for nationals this month in San Jose, Calif. Additionally, there'll be appearances by Detroit SC members who competed at last month's U.S. Junior Championships in East Lansing.

Other notable performers include Georgia Glastris (Greece) and U.S. men's singles skater Grant Hochstein of the St. Clair Shores FSC.

Tickets are $15. Call 248-332-3000 (ext. 101) to reserve.
